Our Company
What We Do
Through our equity and debt offerings, Clearwater acquires everything from raw land to institutional grade commercial real estate across the United States and structures its offerings to afford accredited investors participation in investments while managing risk. Clearwater is committed to providing lasting value to its investors and seeks to create a partnership of trust through each investment instead of merely providing a simple investment solution. Clearwater's intent is to align its interests with its investors by frequently maintaining a fractional interest thereby sharing in the investment and demonstrating its confidence in its offerings.
Making a Difference—Clearwater's Social and Environmental Responsibility Commitment
As a responsible member of the global community and based on today's current economic climate, Clearwater desires to leave the world better than the way we found it. In every aspect of our business, we strive to find ways to balance profit and social responsibility. In order to reduce our environmental footprint, we have analyzed three levels of responsibility: our office culture, our local community and our global community. Our priority at Clearwater is to make social responsibility a part of the corporate culture–it is woven throughout our daily business practices and is the driver in everything we do. At Clearwater this is not an after thought–it is who we are, and why we are different.
Here are a few things Clearwater is doing to consider our earth and its inhabitants:
- We use recycled and/or FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) paper from certified forests and we plant trees to offset our usage.
- Once a quarter, rotating members of the Clearwater team organize a community service event to be completed in the local community.
- We plan to fund Micro Loans from profit made on money raised in Note Programs.
- We plan to install a clean water system in a developing country at the close of each TIC transaction.
- We use local, organic and/or sustainable vendors when possible.
- We plan to purchase carbon credits to offset the air travel our employees take.
